FdA Health and Wellbeing Student Story
Simon Richardson
I have yet to graduate from my course, but I can already feel the improvement in my professional capacity. I work in healthcare and knowing how evidence-based practice effects my work and patient safety. I have progressed from working as a band 2, nursing assistant to a band 4 registered professional. I now have responsibility and accountability which I didn’t have before. I have also been able to move to the next level of work so I can ensure safe patient care. Without the degree I would never be where I am now and with, the confidence of why I do what I do.
I never thought that learning could be so fun. I have met some wonderful people and made lifelong friends through my time, and I just cant express how supported I have felt through everything life has thrown at me during my time as a student. From peers and the amazing staff who lead my course.
