Zandra is a lecturer on the MSc Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Counselling. Zandra has over 20 years experience teaching A level Psychology and has considerable experience as Head of Sixth form and a member of the Senior Management Team.
With a BA(Hons) in Modern History, BSc in Psychology and MSc in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Counselling, it is clear that Zandra believes the learning journey is never complete.
Zandra is a CBT therapist, working within the NHS and also has a private practice, offering CBT and counselling to a wide range of clients.
Current interests include the impact of Neurodivergence on clients' ability to benefit from counselling and CBT and ways of engaging young people in education about mental health.
Zandra has over 20 years experience teaching A level Psychology and has considerable experience as Head of Sixth form and a member of the Senior Management Team.
Pastoral work and education in the impact of mental health issues on young people have been an abiding interest and focus.
Zandra has also worked as a tutor in A Level Psychology and as an examiner.
Zandra is very keen to develop good relationships with those providing mental health services across East Anglia and beyond, particularly in relation to developing placement opportunities for UoS students, but also developing placement providers resources and skill sets.
Zandra is an accredited member of the BABCP (British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies) and a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy). She is also a member of the BPS (British Psychological Society)
Zandra is the course lead for the Evidence Based Practice Module, undertaken by students on the MSc in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Counselling and also informing the Dissertation.
