Steve Clarke

Steve was appointed Chair at the Princess Alexandra Trust in Harlow in December following a short period as Non Executive Director on that Board.

Previously Steve has served on NHS Boards in an executive capacity for nearly 30 years. As well as a number of spells as Chief Executive, Steve’s roles were largely as Finance Director, in a range of bodies including Health Education England and Strategic Health Authorities. During his career he has coupled his professional Executive Director roles with wider responsibilities which have focused on primary care, ambulance services, performance management, information technology and corporate services.

Steve has charity sector experience having been Trustee and Hon Treasurer of the NHS Confederation and is currently Trustee and Hon Treasurer of the national charity, Dementia UK.

Steve lives in Ipswich with his wife, Alison.
