I’ve been in estates and facilities all my career. I started out initially in retail and the retailer I was working for at the time wanted to open some concessions within its department stores and asked if I would lead on that, which gave me an insight into what moving into property would be like. That’s how I started, and I’ve never looked back.

My career spans both private and public sectors, but mostly public. I worked for the British Transport Police for several years, and more recently the foreign and commonwealth office which took me abroad. I lived in Singapore for 10 years for that role managing global teams, and we looked after overseas Embassies, high commissions and diplomatic residencies throughout Asia, Russia, India and Europe.

During my time working for the British Transport Police, I looked after logistics including during the tragic events of the London bombings in 2005 and was awarded a Police commendation for my work and got to meet the Queen, which is one of my proud moments.
