Megan is a Disability and Mental Health Adviser at the University of Suffolk and holds professional membership with the BABCP and is a Registered Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner.
Megan graduated from the University of Suffolk in 2020 with a BSc (Hons) in Psychology and Early Childhood studies, and later completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Low intensity CBT interventions at the University of Essex in 2021.
Megan worked as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner within Essex NHS mental health IAPT services until she joined the University of Suffolk in September 2022 as a Disability and Mental Health Adviser.
Megan has a particular interest in using a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) approach to equip individuals with guided self-help strategies to maintain their wellbeing. In previous roles, Megan would deliver psychoeducation groups and 1:1 support to those experiencing common mental health problems, such as anxiety, depression and specific phobias.
Megan hopes that her prior experience and skills can be used to promote overall positive Mental Health and Disability support to students at the University.
