Dr Mary Cornelius, one of the Head of Educational Development and Innovation at the University, supports staff with creating and delivering effective Hyflex block and blend modules. Since 2013, she has worked in higher education, including undergraduate teaching in history in the USA and UK, delivering academic skills Widening Participation programmes, and designing blended modules and workshops for undergraduate students and for staff undertaking CPD. Mary’s work focusses on enhancing student-centred learning that is equitable and inclusive. She accomplishes this by promoting Universal Design for Learning principles to staff and in course (re)designs.
