Jonni Burton

Jonni provides dedicated compliance support for apprenticeship funded programmes as part of the Apprenticeship Hub and manages and develops internal audit practices to embed quality at the core of the delivery for Work Based Learning provision.

Jonni relocated from London in 2015, joining Suffolk New College continuing his career as a Tutor/Assessor and Internal Quality Assurance in Business Administration, Customer Service and Retail before being promoted to a managerial position as Apprenticeships Coordinator.

Jonni has built positive working relationships while delivering apprenticeship programmes with prestigious employers including the NHS, Goldman Sachs, Taylor Wimpey, Ipswich Borough Council, Suffolk Highways and more.

Following graduating from The University of North London with a Bachelor’s degree in Education Studies, Jonni’s extensive experience in further education also includes quality and assurance, business development and assisted with the effective management and delivery of government programmes such as Apprenticeships, Train to Gain, E2E and employment projects in partnership with JobCentre Plus.

Jonni is pleased to have joined the University of Suffolk and looks forward to using his expertise to develop and grow the apprenticeship provision within Higher Education.
