Joanne Abbott

Joanne is a Research Project Administrator with the Institute of Health and Wellbeing at the University of Suffolk, where she supports the Research Directorate and their project teams.

Alongside her role at the University of Suffolk, Joanne is a pursuing a Professional Doctorate in Healthcare Education with the University of Essex, with the focus of understanding role and professional development needs. She is a registered Dispensing Optician, having completed both BSc (Hons) Optical Management at Anglia Ruskin University and the Fellowship Diploma with the Association of British Dispensing Opticians.

Joanne has previously had roles in project management, policy development and research, CPD provision, and lecturing. She has a professional interest in reflective practice, and in supporting healthcare professionals with career-long learning.
