James is the Head of Management Information with responsibility for the Management Information Team (MIT) which includes the following areas:
- Allocations
- Application and Process Development
- External Returns, Planning and Rooming
- Reporting and Business Intelligence
- Student Records and Data Quality
- Timetabling Project
These teams have a wide range of responsibilities which help support staff and students across the University of Suffolk. James has vast experience of project management and has led many successful large scale projects including the development and full roll out of the student record system and the SSRS reporting suite. The largest current project is the replacement of the university timetabling system which is being led by staff within MIT. One of James key strengths is the manipulation and interpretation of data and the analysis of trends to help inform strategies and plans.
Prior to transferring to the university in 2007, James worked for Suffolk College in a range of student facing, support, development and technical roles in both the Further Education and the Higher Education sectors. James is an active member of many internal and external committees and advises the University of Suffolk Executive and external commissioners on a range of subjects.
