Judith has a wide range of experience, knowledge and skills developed through her lecturing, research and evaluation career. Her interests are in health and wellbeing, especially improving health behaviours, prevention of ill health and health inequalities. She works at the interface between research and practice, and applies her expertise in qualitative research methods, participatory action research, network analysis, systems approaches and implementation science to understand health care interventions through evaluative research. As part of this Judith also work to build capacity for evaluation, knowledge exchange and evidence-informed practice across organisations and system.
Currently, Judith leads the Evaluation Group at Health Innovation East, where she manages a team of evaluators, bringing together expertise in evaluation and research to generate evidence and insights to support adoption, implementation and spread of innovation in health and social care services. Prior to joining Health Innovation East, she worked on evaluative research projects at the University of Edinburgh, University of East Anglia, Norfolk County Council and Public Health England (East of England). My PhD focused on improving understanding and application of evaluation approaches in complex physical activity interventions. Judith also has a Masters in Public Health Nutrition, and is an Associate Registered Nutritionist and Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
