Anna Sheldrake

Anna leads the Digital & IT Directorate, driving the strategic vision around the digital transformation of the institution, guiding it towards a future where digital technology is seamlessly integrated into every aspect of its operations. With a keen focus on both innovation and reliability, Anna works with her team to ensure that the directorate excels in delivering "brilliant basics" — the foundation of excellent digital support services for University students and staff.  

Anna's overarching objective is to establish the University as an institution that optimizes digital technology to streamline processes, drive efficiency, and unlock untapped potential. Recognising the vital role of people in the equation, she is committed to developing digital skills within the institution, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development, to ensure that the institution continues to develop its digital maturity to navigate the ever-evolving technological landscape. Anna brings extensive experience from her previous roles in technology and change in both the NHS and private sector.
