Working together to shape the future in healthcare
When studying a Nursing, Midwifery or Public Health course, students will impact real lives when learning comes to life during clinical and work-based health placements. Placements support students to gain practical skills in communication, assessing and treating patients in a supervised setting.
Students are supported every step of the way throughout learning and placements with wrap around support from our academics and our placement team.
We’re proud to work closely with health and social care practice providers across Suffolk, Norfolk, Essex, and Cambridgeshire in settings such as NHS trusts, prison services, community care and private healthcare providers. Some courses also offer the opportunity for an overseas placement.

Student Feedback
"I enjoyed my time on this placement and the staff were friendly, approachable and supportive. I was shown around the placement on my first day and orientated as to how things worked and felt part of the team. I was allocated a member of staff to supervise me each shift and received a welcome pack to enhance my placement. I was able to negotiate my individual learning needs and acquired new Evidence Based Skills / Knowledge. To the amazing team in outpatients: thank you all so much for your support over the last 8 weeks. You are all so lovely and made me feel very welcomed."
"I wanted to say thank you for the great experience I had during my placement in ODP. Thank you for the warm welcome and making me feel like a valued member of your team from day one. Thank you all for sharing your knowledge and skills with me and for the time and patience you took to teach and mentor me. whilst providing such a supportive learning environment. I will take all the lessons I have learnt in the OPD into my nursing career. A billion thank you's."
