Waterfront Building
The Waterfront Building, located in the heart of the bustling Ipswich Waterfront, opened in 2008 and was our first dedicated teaching, learning and social space.
The building has six floors, one auditorium which seats 200 people, two main lecture theatres each seating 140 people and 34 teaching rooms seating between 18 and 80 people.
Every teaching room has IT equipment enhancing students learning experience and spread across the open study areas there are approximately 50 iMacs. The dual function technology allows students to choose between Microsoft Windows and Apple Mac software, allowing students to utilise the technology that best supports their chosen field of study. The Waterfront Building supports flexible learning with open study on all floors, where students can access networked computers.
Students are able to socialise in Paddy & Scott’s Café, which looks out onto the Waterfront, where students can enjoy the cosmopolitan mix of arts facilities, cafés, restaurants, public houses and open social space. Next to our main Waterfront Reception is the Student Centre, a one-stop-shop, giving current and potential students information and advice on all aspects of student life including course advice and how to apply. The Student Centre has dedicated Advisors on hand to deal with enquiries, either face-to-face, over the phone or via email.
