Izabela is an experienced leader in higher education, currently serving as the Head of Student Life and Designated Safeguarding Lead at the University of Suffolk, where she manages a broad range of student support services, including the Student Centre, finance support services for students, and SpLD (Specific Learning Difficulties) support services. Since joining the university in 2018, Izabela has led initiatives in disability services and international student support. She is an active member of several key university committees and has successfully secured external funding to support students’ international mobility opportunities through the Erasmus and Turing programmes.

With over 20 years of experience in higher education, Izabela has held numerous roles focused on international partnerships and project management. From managing Erasmus+ programmes to coordinating large-scale EU-funded initiatives at institutions such as the University of Essex and City University London, she has a strong track record of fostering international collaborations. Izabela holds a Master’s in Higher and Professional Education from UCL, a Master’s in Modern European Languages from the University of Wroclaw (PL), and is an alumna of the AURORA women-only leadership programme. A keen humanist, she studied piano and cello for nearly 12 years and speaks five languages, reflecting her diverse talents and dedication to leadership in academia.
