Antigoni is a qualified Architect and Lecturer in Architectural Digital Design, with an interest in both the legacy and future of architectural education and practice. Originally from Cyprus, she moved to the UK to pursue her studies at the University of Liverpool, DMU, and Greenwich School of Architecture, where she was awarded the Bennets Prize and graduated top of her class.
She is a member of the Architects Registration Board (ARB) and the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA). Prior to her position at the University of Suffolk, she taught Architecture at Norwich University of the Arts. Antigoni’s industry experience spans a diverse range of building projects including residential, commercial, educational, and cultural. She firmly believes that architecture is a dialogue between the past, present, and future, and aims for designs that respect historical context while pushing the boundaries of innovation.
Her professional experience includes working with well known practices such as Patel Taylor Architects in London and multidisciplinary practice Ingleton Wood. Through these roles, Antigoni has gained invaluable experience in managing complex projects, always prioritising the integration of thoughtful design with sustainable, context-aware solutions.
Antigoni has also done extensive research on contested urban heritage, exploring the needs of divided cities' inhabitants to communicate and experience the everyday life of the “other side.” Amongst others, her research has been presented at the Association of Critical Heritage Studies conference and the Architects' Journal.
