Stacy qualified with a DipHE in adult nursing in 2008 at Kingston University. She worked on acute medicine and care of the older adult until she left for the community to follow her passion for it that she developed when she was a student. Stacy worked as a community nurse in Guildford from 2011 and gained more knowledge and understanding into the role. She applied and was accepted onto the district nursing course and gained a degree in district nursing in 2015. Stacy continued with her DN role in the Guilford area until 2018 when she became a practice teacher. This was a varied role within the community setting which involved service development, team management, staff development and stakeholder liaison.
In December 2019 Stacy moved to Suffolk where she became a DN in Bury St Edmunds in 2020. She left this in 2024 to pursue a role at the University of Suffolk where she hopes to pass on her passion and knowledge for the role in future generations of district nurses.
