Dr Edward Holmes is a Research Associate in the Directorate for Learning & Teaching, University of Suffolk. Edward received his “BA Sociology (Hons)”, “MA Social Research” and “PhD Sociology” from the University of York. His research interests are ethnomethodological and conversation analytic and involve the study of practical activities within ordinary and institutional settings. Previously, Edward has held positions as a “Research Fellow” at the University of Southampton (School of Primary Care, Population Sciences & Medical Education), “Associate Lecturer” at the University of York (Department of Sociology), and “Teaching Assistant” at the University of Leeds (Department of Linguistics & Phonetics). At the University of Suffolk, Edward is involved in institutional research and evaluation regarding access and participation.
