Danny is a learning services assistant with experience in librarianship and information science over three decades. Before joining the Library and Learning Services in January 2010 she spent 10 years working at the University of Cape Town (SA) in various library roles and before that 10 years in regional and science libraries in Bulgaria where she is originally from. Danny loves travelling, meeting new people and cultures, musicals, gardening and yoga.
In the early nineties Danny participated in an extensive research run by the University of Stellenbosch. The research, linking secondary smoking to breast cancer, played a major role in banning smoking in offices and public spaces in South Africa.
