Abbie works within the Learning Design team at the university, utilising educational technologies and creating accessible blended learning spaces. In 2019, Abbie earned a First-Class degree in Early Childhood Studies at the University of Suffolk, before achieving her PGCE with Suffolk and Norfolk SCITT. She is a qualified teacher with a specialism in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and is accredited in British Sign Language. During her studies and teaching experiences, Abbie developed her passions for research, learning design and inclusivity in education.
Abbie has achieved a TEFL Certification and taught as an English teacher in Cha Am, Thailand. Since achieving her PGCE in 2020, Abbie has taught pupils in EYFS, Key Stage One and Key Stage Two. She became a Geography Subject Leader and developed her skills in curriculum design.
