Dr Ed Garratt is a Visiting Professor in Integrated Care at the University of Suffolk. He is the Chief Executive Officer for Ipswich & East Suffolk, West Suffolk and North East Essex Clinical Commissioning Groups and under his leadership all three organisations have gained an ‘outstanding’ status from NHS England. He is also the Executive Lead for the Suffolk and North East Essex Integrated Care System (ICS) and lead commissioner of the East of England Ambulance NHS Trust.

Ed has a strong reputation for collaboration. He has over 15 years’ experience of working in the NHS, has worked at regional level in commissioning and currently co-chairs the East of England Health Inequalities Board.  He has worked on major national policy by supporting the development of the NHS Constitution and the government’s NHS White Paper 2021. Ed holds a doctorate in English Literature from the University of Cambridge and is a published academic.
