Michael Appleton

Mick joined the University in August 2008 after transferring from Suffolk College where he had worked since November 1984 as a Maintenance Carpenter.

Mick's career started in August 1973 with an apprenticeship to train as a shipwright/boat builder. Following this position Mick worked in Dedham restoring an old timber framed house, moving on to Weeley Furniture as a Wood Machinist and progressing to Production Controller until 1984.

As well as being a time served apprentice as shipwright/boat builder Mick also has C & G Wood Machinist Craft Certificate and a NEBOSH General Certificate.
