Eunice Mendonca

BSc (Hons) Law and current LLM Criminal Law and Justice student

My name is Eunice Mendonca, and I an Alumni student.  I have finished my undergraduate law degree in May 2024 and I graduated in October 2024.

At present I am doing my LLM in Criminal Law and Justice at the University of Suffolk and have just finished my Solicitors qualification exams.(SQE1).

To build up my work experience qualification, I volunteer with the citizens adviser once a week along side the University of Suffolk Legal Advice Centre. I joined the Legal Advice Centre on my first year as a student in September 2021. I have volunteered there throughout my studies until June 2024.

Being a student at the University of Suffolk truly helped me to develop my confidence and skills and has helped me to acquire more understanding about researching and  learning how to work more independently.  I am using these skills already while volunteering with The Citizens Advice Bureau and studying my SQE. This will be a massive help for my future career.

I also have my full time job, where I had the opportunity to develop my skills as HR manager, helping to implement the company policies more accurately. My law degree has helped to increase my work skills.

I am looking forward to the months ahead where we will develop advocacy skills while learning about criminal evidence and psychology.
